Iran (IMNA) - At a gathering of the Supreme Assembly of IRGC commanders and officials on Saturday, Major General Hossein Salami remarked that Ayatollah Khamenei had "passed the Islamic Iran through the Nile River of sanctions, threats, economic pressure, great seditions, and psychological warfare."
He also admired the Leader's stance against the haughty powers and the adversaries' disappointment.
He continued by saying that Ayatollah Khamenei had boosted the jihadi spirit among Muslims all across the world.
General Salami further stressed that during the past 45 years, Iran and the Axis of Resistance have become stronger while the adversaries have gotten weaker.
The opponent is at the height of its frailty, and the US is declining more than ever, he declared. "Israel is also weaker now than it was in 1967, whereas Hezbollah is stronger with better, more advanced tools and equipment."
"Against the US, usurper Israel, and its supporters in the area, the Islamic Revolution and the Axis of Resistance are in the lead. This has been made possible by the Leader's tact and knowledge as well as the Islamic Ummah's effort and tenacity.
Ayatollah Khamenei, according to the IRGC chief commander, has put the US in "a strategic dead end," and the adversary is aware that it will lose with or without anti-Iran sanctions, he added.
After unilaterally exiting the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), generally known as the 2015 nuclear agreement, Washington levied severe economic sanctions against Tehran in May 2018.
The Islamic Republic has implemented a policy of "maximum resistance" in response to the US "maximum pressure" campaign in an effort to mitigate the effects of the unlawful sanctions through independence.
General Salami praised the "brilliant performance" of the IRGC since it was established in the wake of the Islamic Revolution of 1979 in other passages of his remarks.
The IRGC, according to him, is so powerful because "it sees the non-divine and Western powers as weak and unworthy."
Ayatollah Khamenei commended the IRGC as "the world's biggest anti-terrorism organization" in pertinent remarks on Thursday, saying that it is capable of carrying out tasks that many of the world's major military are unable to.
