Indian Prime Minister anticipates meeting Iranian President

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet in South Africa during the BRICS conference, which is set to take place from August 22 to 24.

Iran (IMNA) - The two presidents had a phone conversation on Friday where they discussed a number of bilateral matters, including utilizing Chabahar Port to its full potential.

''Pleased to speak to Iranian President H.E. Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi yesterday,'' Modi wrote in a post on the messaging app X, formerly known as Twitter.

"We discussed enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation, including maximizing the capabilities of Chabahar Port," he continued.

"Look forward to meeting President Raisi in South Africa on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit," he said.
