Iranian Foreign Minister, UAE discuss regional concerns in Abu Dhabi

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his opposite number from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have stressed the need of promoting cooperation between the two neighbors.

Iran (IMNA) - On Thursday, the senior Iranian ambassador met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

The two met to discuss shared interests, regional trends, and the advancement of bilateral relations.

Among the topics discussed were Iran and the UAE's collaboration in numerous political, economic, commercial, consular, cultural, and scientific domains.

Amir-Abdollahian met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan earlier in the day.

On behalf of President Ebrahim Raeisi, Amir-Abdollahian invited the head of state of the UAE to travel to Tehran.

The Iranian foreign minister visited Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar before flying to Abu Dhabi. On June 20, Amir-Abdollahian departed from Doha to begin his regional trip.
