Iran and Qatar's foreign ministers call to push stronger ties

The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar have spoken about a wide range of issues, from fostering better ties to the most recent regional developments.

Iran (IMNA) - Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that Tehran and Doha must seek to improve their friendly ties in a phone dialogue with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is also the prime minister of Qatar, on Sunday.

According to Amir-Abdollahian, Qatar contributes positively and constructively to bilateral and regional ties.

For his part, the minister of Qatar praised the cordial ties between his nation and Iran.

The administration of President Ebrahim Raeisi is following a good-neighborliness strategy and aims to strengthen connections with the countries in the area.

Iran and Qatar signed 14 significant economic cooperation agreements during the visit of the Iranian president to Doha in February 2022, including an agreement to remove visa restrictions for travelers between the two nations.

According to the agreements, Iran and Qatar would work closely together in a number of economic sectors, including commerce, shipping, aviation, and power.
