Oman remained a lasting friend for Iran

Due to their close vicinity, Iran and Oman have maintained relations with each other over the course of history. It can be claimed that rather than posing a problem for both countries, their geopolitics has led to friendship, unification, and collaboration.

Iran (IMNA) - The connection between Iran and Oman is no exception to the fact that geopolitics has been and is projected to be more powerful than any other subject in world affairs. The ties between Iran and Oman will be characterized by friendliness, collaboration, and constructive contact rather than being a problem as long as the geopolitics of these two countries persist.

The political doctrine of Sultan Qaboos, which has kept Iran and Oman from ever having difficulties in the previous 50 years and resulted in a perfectly amicable and cooperative relationship throughout this period, is now another significant component in addition to geopolitics.

The next Sultan of Oman acknowledges his affiliation with this political school and will not behave differently because of its influence on Oman.

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said's cousin, rose to the throne with Qaboos' express consent. This demonstrates Haitham bin Tarik's intellectual affinity with his late cousin, and it also demonstrates the persistence of the Oman movement inside the political school that has dominated this nation for the last 50 years.

With these justifications, it can be concluded that Iran and Oman won't encounter any problems with one another in the future as the geopolitics of these two countries keep going and as long as Oman's political school from the previous 50 years is still active. Thankfully, His Majesty Sayyid Theyazin Bin Haitham Al Said, the Crown Prince of Oman, is also a graduate of this institution. If God grants him a long life, we will continue to see this sensible strategy in Oman.

The political, economic, and social ties between Iran and Oman are at their best ever levels at the time these lines are being written. In 2022, trade between Iran and Oman reached a record high; more political and military leaders visited the two countries than ever before; airlines connected different cities in Iran with Muscat; and there were more than 20,000 Iranians living in Oman, all of which are signs of the strong ties between the Iranian and Omani communities. These links are growing, and there are no immediate or even long-term indications that they are in danger.

Even under the strictest sanctions, Oman has not lessened its contact with Iran and has supported Iran in a number of political and economic situations. This demonstrates how strong geopolitics and the dominant political school in Oman are at preventing outside forces from undermining the friendly ties between Iran and Oman.

In such a situation, elites from both countries' political, social, and economic sectors should endeavor to strengthen these linkages. The Iranian and Omani communities should take advantage of these opportunities as a consequence of the political determination displayed by the leaders of the two countries, which has created a conducive environment for business and non-governmental groups to participate.
