Leader calls on instructors to develop Iranian, Islamic identity among students

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, has urged Iranian teachers to foster Iranian and Islamic identity among pupils.

Iran (IMNA)- Ayatollah Khamenei made the statements in a speech to a gathering of teachers and academics on the occasion of National Teachers' Day, which commemorates the martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari, who was martyred by the Forqan terrorist group shortly after the Islamic Revolution's victory.

Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that one of the most important things needed in the country's education system is to build Iranian identity and educate the Islamic-Iranian way of life.

The Leader highlighted the importance of education to all Iranian authorities, decision-makers, and citizens from all walks of life.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged the authorities to reconsider the existing educational system and assess its efficiency for the country.

"The main strategy of education should be based on teaching usable science and serving the current and future needs of the country," remarked the Leader. According to the Leader, instructors of the "teenage and young generation," who are the nation's future builders, include academics and teachers.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that without the aid of the educational system, advancement is not possible. The Leader also commended the nation's educators for working hard to educate childrens despite obstacles.
