Iran (IMNA) - President Ebrahim Raeisi made the remarks on Wednesday at an Iftar banquet in Tehran attended by Muslim diplomats and chargés d'affaires.
In the face of these plots, the chief executive deemed fostering divides and demeaning Muslims' sanctities to be among other tactics of targeting Muslim communities, encouraging the world's Muslim countries to unite.
The president warned that "The Muslim peoples' ill-wishers are after creating division and separation among the [world's] Islamic countries, nations, ethnicities, and faiths." He stressed that unity and integrity were essential and had to be used as a strategy by the Muslim Ummah (Nation).
Raeisi drew attention to the Zionist dictatorship of Israel's most recent assaults on the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in the Old City of the holy occupied city of al-Quds, which is the third holiest place in Islam, as well as its targeting of helpless Palestinians who were only keeping the holy fast of Ramadan.
However, simply condemning and expressing resentment over these transgressions is insufficient, according to the president, who stated that Muslim nations today expect the implementation of "practical measures" in response to the Israeli regime's atrocities and in support of the oppressed Palestinian nation.
He believed that the plan put out by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was the Islamic Republic's final answer to the Palestine issue.
The Leader made the sensible suggestion in 2020 that Palestinians be given international permission to organize a vote to determine the future of the occupied territories. The idea calls for a vote that will be attended by all of the original and historical residents of the occupied areas, including those who have since been relocated.
Meanwhile, President Raeisi stated that the world's Muslim countries have unique capabilities that they can share.
He offered the Islamic Republic as an example of how, despite current restrictions and threats, it has made amazing success that it is willing to share with other Muslim countries.
