Omani, Saudi representatives  arrived in Sana'a for peace talks

For the first time since the war in Yemen began in 2015, Saudi officials entered Yemen's capital to meet with Ansarullah leaders to negotiate a peaceful end to the conflict. This comes as Ansarullah commanders have stated that they will never compromise on the goals of their revolution.

Delegates from Saudi Arabia and Oman are presently in Yemen's capital Sana'a, looking for a diplomatic settlement with Ansarullah authorities to stop the country's years-long war. They are also in Yemen to discuss a method for lifting the embargo.

Yemen's national delegation leader, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, who met with the Omani team in Sana'a, emphasized that the Ansarullah movement will never compromise on revolution goals.

On the first day of the tour, President Mehdi Almashad received the Saudi and Omani delegations in the Presidential Palace in Sana'a. Something that many people did not expect to witness.

Almashad lauded Omani officials for bringing the two parties to the discussion table and pursuing a peaceful ending to the dispute.

Yemen's Prime Minister, Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, believes the country can coexist peacefully with Saudi Arabia and the UAE if they respect Yemen's sovereignty.

Even though it's anticipated that Ansarullah and the Saudis will negotiate behind closed doors, it's apparent that the Saudis are willing to talk.

The current conversations show that the Saudi administration is clearly trying to find a way out of a losing conflict.
