Water level in Iran's reservoirs increased by 12% between September and March

According to statistics from the Iranian Energy Ministry, the level of water in Iran's reservoirs has grown by 12% in less than seven months to early March due to greater rainfalls and warmer temperatures forcing snow to melt into the rivers.

Iran (IMNA) - Water stored in reservoirs since the Iranian water year began on September 23 has surpassed 28.8 billion cubic meters, according to a statement released by the Ministry on Saturday.

According to the declaration, overall water intake in dams has grown by 18% to 23.26 bcm since the beginning of the water year.

The amount of water that was released from the dams in the more than seven months leading up to March 8 was 13.54 bcm, a little rise from the 13.18 bcm that was seen at the same time previous year. According to the government, Iranian reservoirs were 58% full on March 8.
