Iran's oil exports climbed in February

Notwithstanding the US sanctions, Iran's oil exports climbed in February, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

iRAN (imna) - According to IEA numbers issued on the agency's website, Iran delivered an average of 2.65 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil to markets in February, up 0.76% from export rates announced in January.

Based on the numbers, Iran maintained a consisted oil production capacity of 3.8 million bpd in February, indicating that the nation can achieve that capacity level in 90 days and sustain it for a lengthy period of time.

The numbers back with remarks by Iranian government officials that Iran increased its oil production and exports in early 2023.

This comes as international ship tracking agencies reported that Iranian oil exports climbed dramatically last year compared to statistics recorded in 2021, reaching records not seen since the United States imposed sanctions on the country's oil sector in May 2018.

In line with a statement issued by Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji in early March, the country's oil and condensate exports increased by an average of 0.57 million bpd last year compared to two years previously.

Experts believe rising oil exports from Iran prove that the US government has bitterly failed in its efforts to destroy the Iranian oil industry through its unprecedented and illegal regime of sanctions.

According to experts, the US government's efforts to destroy the Iranian oil sector through its unprecedented and unlawful system of sanctions have utterly failed, as seen by the rise in Iran's oil exports.
