Alexander Grushko welcomed bilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia

During a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko in Tehran on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, said Tehran is ready to host a foreign ministerial summit under the framework of a 3+3 group comprised of three southern Caucasus countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia) and their three neighbors (Russia, Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran), highlighting the significance of fostering regional cooperation.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran has frequently stated its willingness to assist in resolving the long-standing issue between Azerbaijan and Armenia through various formats and processes.

Iran was one of the countries that supported the development of a 3+3 group as part of its foreign policy of tackling regional concerns, disputes, and challenges.

According to the statement, the senior Iranian diplomat also stressed the necessity of promoting bilateral and regional cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister welcomed the prospect of more bilateral, regional, and international cooperation between the two all-weather allies.
