Isfahan Municipality, NIGC ink MoU to enhance urban management

The Isfahan Municipality and the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate on matters that will enable better urban management in the ancient city.

ISFAHAN (IMNA)-Under the agreement, which was signed on Tuesday, Isfahan takes a step towards the realization of centralized urban management, Mayer Ali Qasemzadeh has said.

“A memorandum of understanding is signed between Isfahan Municipality and Provincial Gas Company in line with the centralized urban management policy and for better utilization of existing capacities,” Qasemzadeh explained.

“We are committed to strengthening our position in pipeline construction, drilling, and enhancing public safety, all of which call for more frequent interactions and communications.”

Due to anticipated needs, the partnership with NIGC is both significant and essential, Qasemzadeh stated. “As part of the cooperation, the two sides will look into several measures to promote Isfahan as a national model city for gas distribution, energy security, and efficient use.”

Among the commitments made by Isfahan Municipality in this memorandum are joint educational, cultural, research, and executive collaboration to ensure the safe and optimal consumption of natural gas, optimization of combustion systems and gas boilers, and publication of the Gas Company’s weekly messages, he concluded.
