World War III star, Venice FilmFest Winner Mohsen Tanabandeh Nominated in Asian Film Awards

For his performance in the movie "World War III" that has already earned him a Best Actor award in the Horizons section of the 79th International Venice Film Festival, Mohsen Tanabandeh has received a nomination for Best Actor in Asian Film Awards.

Iran (IMNA) - The 16th round of Asian Film Awards has today on 6 Jan, 2023, released the list of nominees in 16 categories, with Mohsen Tanabandeh a runner-up for the Best Actor prize for his role in Houman Seyyedi's World War III, reports CineIran. Tanbandeh also previously received such an honor in the Horizons section of the 79th International Venice Film Festival and Los Angeles International Film Festival. The company Iranian Independents run by Mohammad Atebbai is in charge of the international distribution of "World War III". The prestigious Asia Film Awards is a cinematic event that was founded in 2013 by three film festivals namely Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Busan. The awards ceremony will be held on 12 March, 2023 in Hong Kong.

The list of nominees includes 81 titles with 30 films from 22 countries, with the Korean movie "Decision to Leave" directed by Park Chan-Wook and its 10 nominations leading the 16th Asian Film Awards.
