Saying that currently active projects in the city such as constructing new metro lines and the forth protective ring are being implemented in order to reduce air pollution and traffic as well, Ghasemzadeh noted, "to improve the bus fleet, the Municipality is looking for providing electric buses; in this regard, we have entered the negotiation stage for the preparation of an electric transport fleet. "
He pointed out, "On the other hand, industries should take the necessary steps as recent studies have shown that a major part of the amount of pollution is due to the activities of industries encircling the city."
