Isfahan to turn into family-friendly city

The head of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Islamic City Council of Isfahan said, "A child-friendly city is a good title; Isfahan, however, should be a family-friendly one before that, and the urban management should help the family play the first role in the city."

Iran (IMNA) - "Creating a family-centered city, strengthening family, paying attention to its essential functions as the pillar of Islamic growth and setting policies in this regard are the priorities of the Sixth Islamic City Council, " Manouchehr Mehrvaripoor stated.

He added, "In this regard, a mayor with a cultural personality was selected, who pays special attention to the subject of the family."

"The leadership's recommendations on the importance of family have not been sufficiently implemented yet; so, this matter will be addressed by holding brainstorming sessions with cultural activists," Mehrvaripoor noted.

In the 34th International Film Festival for Children and Youth, the need to focus on the subject of "family and children" in urban policy was emphasized."

Concerns over the sanctity of the family, the importance of choosing a partner, using the capacity of religious missionaries and artists mobilization committee in the fields of addiction, divorce, marital relations, domestic violence, raising the age of marriage, marriage traditions in Isfahan, subcultures resulting from migration, sexual and economic issues of families and lack of life skills bringing happiness were among thetopics that cultural activists have discussed so far.
