Isfahan to host museum for children's cinema

Welcoming the idea of establishing a museum for children's cinema, the Mayor of Isfahan Ali Ghasemzadeh said, "The collection of experiences, photos, films and information that gets available in recent editions of the festival can be transferred to others in a new sense through the museum."

Iran (IMNA) - In the course of a joint meeting with Alireza Tabesh, the secretary of 34th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Ali Ghasemzadeh said that in the history of the festival, good stewardship amid the Coronavirus pandemic turned out things very well for the festival, then continued, “This proves that management should reflect the best performance under the most difficult conditions; such principle is defined as the concept of 'resilience'. "

He continued, "The approach of the municipality of Isfahan and the Islamic city council in this period of urban management is the cultural one and this view raises the expectations from the municipality. Certainly, the doors of participation is opened and the city is to be managed with the help of citizens and intellectuals, particularly artists."

Stating that studies have proven that artists are part of the social reference, the mayor of Isfahan added, "Many of people belonging to art walk of life are interested in serving the society with the unique language of art."

He emphasized that, "an artist must be heard, and the film festival for children and youth can act as a leverage in this respect to turn Isfahan into a cultural hangout and a destination for artists to travel. Against this background, the first step is to preserve the available achievements as the festival has become a strong sapling that must be protected."
