History of waste management in Isfahan turned into book

Waste is all about human activities; this is why everyone should have a proper understanding of waste management and recycling issues, without which the chances of success for even the best planned waste management strategies become doubtful.

Iran (IMNA) - "The book "History of waste management in Isfahan" is a complete collection of all activities and measures taken in the field of waste management in the city; throughout this book topics including methods, tools, the role of citizen, laws, procedures and other issues in this area have been discussed in detail," Deputy Mayor for Planning and Research Department of Isfahan Municipal Waste Management Organization, Farshad Mostajaran said.

He considered the authorship of this book as a valuable step helping all interested parties, researchers and activists in the field of waste management and continued, "This book indicates decades of efforts of urban management activists, especially in the field of waste management in Isfahan; the book is a tool to develop waste management knowledge which can clarify the path taken so far. It opens a clear horizon towards scientific and practical progress by addressing the experiences and capacities of the past and present city administration board."

"Considering that a large part of the information and experiences related to waste management is available to managers who spent their time on expanding knowledge and improving the infrastructure in this area, the publisher team has documented their measures during interviews with former CEOs of the organization; this is an important part of the book and a valuable treasure trove to the waste management organization," Mostajaran noted.

Referring to other parts of this book, the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Research Department of Isfahan Municipal Waste Management Organization stated, "we are collecting all historical documents and activities of the municipality in the field of waste management; consultations have been held with documentary professionals so that we can provide perfect content in this regard."
