COVID-19 claimed 105,901 lives so far

Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education reported 26034 additional Coronavirus cases and 614 more deaths, bringing the official number of cases to 4,895,448 and the death toll to 105,901.

Iran (IMNA) -Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced that 614 more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 105,901.

26034 new coronavirus infections were detected over the past 24 hours, of whom 4002 have been hospitalized.

There have been nearly 4,895,448 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 4,117,098 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 216,362,331 and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 4,501,925; however, more than 193,354,628 people have recovered.

Iranian healthcare workers have already made huge sacrifices in order to reduce the number of people getting infected in the country, however, cases are still high and hospitals are under significant pressure dut to the new variants that are spreading across the country.
