Iran (IMNA) - The Exam, directed by Shawkat Amin Korki, produced by Mehmet Aktas and co-produced by Iraqi Kurdistan, Germany and Qatar; with the presence of a number of his main actors in its first international appearance in four seasons in the Crystal Globe Competition section, will be screened at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
This fourth feature film of Shawkat Amin Korki is co-produced by Mitos Film in Berlin and Masti film in Sulaymaniyah. The German company ArtHood is to screen ‘The Exam’ internationally. In order to win this prestigious award, Crystal Globe award, The Exam will compete with eleven films from different counties.
The screenings of ‘The Exam’ are as follows: 8 pm on Wednesday 25th August at the Grand Hsll, 1 pm on Thursday 26th August at Pupp Cinema, 7 pm on Friday 27th August at the Lazne III Cinema and finally 12 am on Saturday 28th at Drahomíra Cinema.
Karlovy Vary Film Festival, a grade A festival, is one of the oldest international festivals in the world as well as the most prestigious festival In the Central and Eastern Europe. This year the festival will honour Michael Kane, the veteran British actor. Johnny Depp, the world famous American actor and musician will be awarded the Crystal Globe for his outstanding participation in World cinema.
The 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will be held with the participation of 200 films by film makers from around the world in two sections: Crystal Globe Competition and Easr of West Competition, as well as non- complétive section and special screenings - the Horizons, the Imsges, the Future Frames, Next Generationof European Cinema, the Film Foundation Commemoration, the Tribute to the Film Foundation, the People Next Door, the Praguesshorts at KVIFF, the Midnight Screenings, the Tribute to Jan Svěrák and the Neighbouring People sections. These events are held from the 20th - 28th August 2021 at Karlovy Vary, Czech Repubic.
