101,354 Iranians lost their lives due to coronavirus

The coronavirus pandemic caused by the new respiratory virus‌‌‌‌‌‌ has killed over 4,432,506 people and infected 211,825,793 worldwide; Coronavirus cases continue to rush in Iran with hospitals in most provinces runing out of ICU beds.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced that 544 more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the country’s tally of total deaths to 101,354.

24,179 new coronavirus infections were detected over the past 24 hours.

There have been nearly 4,660,695 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 3,902,808 of whom cured or discharged from hospitals or healthcare centers.

The endeavours of Iranian officials have been focused on taking measures to contain the outbreak and prevent further transmission.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 211 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 4,4 million; however, more than 189 million people have been recovered.
