Iran (IMNA) - "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was unattainable in the past; however, this ministry is accessible to all administrative departments, which is deserved to be appreciated," he continued.
Addressing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Isfahan Municipality's Director General for Communications and International Affairs Department stated, " the Isfahan's municipal management board has endeavored to recommence the mutual communication with sisters cities across the world; Considering Kuwait, we have revived the connection which has been cornered for years due to the shaky diplomatic relations between the two countries of Iran and Kuwait."
He added, "We came to the conclusion that if we want to have a positive contribution in public diplomacy, it should get underway the municipality; for such measure, we proposed a project called Citizen Diplomat."
"So far, more than 250 proposals have been received from citizens in keeping with the Citizen Diplomat Initiative," he said.
Noting that this project has yielded positive results and been considered as a preliminary case by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director General of the Center for Communications and International Affairs of the Municipality of Isfahan said, "the proposals are now entered the process of evaluation; a definite budget to finance the selected projects has been assigned by the mayor of Isfahan so that 15 top projects will be implemented finally".
He remarked, "We have stepped in content production and the collection of books and teasers to introduce Isfahan; mid-July, 10 short film will be unveiled in 10 most spoken languages in the world."
Hojjati emphasized, "The contents do not share the same features as they have been prepared based on the tastes and interests of different nations so that comprehemsive city branding will be performed for Isfahan."
He ended, "Isfahan is about to conclude sister partnership agreements with three cities of India's Hyderabad, Samarkand in Uzbekistan and Portugal's Porto, which will be officially signed in the coming months".
