Isfahan Municipality ranked first as concerns with energy sustainability

Isfahan Municipality's optimization director for urban facilities maintenance said, “the municipality of Isfahan increased the capacity of renewable energy to 570 kW by constructing 10 new solar power plants last year, and therefore the city ranked first in the country as concerns with energy sustainability.”

Iran (IMNA) - Seyed Mehdi Hosseini stated, “Isfahan Municipality is the largest consumer of public electricity in the city due to the variety of services it provides to the 15 municipal districts.”

Saying that the management of electricity consumption contributes significantly in providing sustainable electricity to citizens, he added, "With such approach in recent years, we have reduced the number of high power consumption facilities, and we are now able to provide the stable state for electricity supply."

The optimization director for urban facilities maintenance noted, "During the last four years, Isfahan Municipality has ranked first in the country as concerns with energy sustainability."

Hosseini emphasized, "The municipality has reduced its electricity consumption by changing the time of irrigation to the off-peak hours. Also, the time when water fountains turned on has been reduced.

He continued, "Using renewable energy is very important and contributes to environmental protection, reducing pollution and helping to provide energy."
