COVID-19 claimed 81,183 lives so far

Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education reported 4907 additional Coronavirus cases and 120 more deaths, bringing the official number of cases to 2,971,270 and the death toll to 81,183.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced that 120 more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 81,183.

4907 new coronavirus infections were detected over the past 24 hours.

There have been nearly 2,971,270 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 2,565,972 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 174 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 3,744,968; however, more than 157,105,837 people have recovered.

Iranian healthcare workers have already made huge sacrifices in order to reduce the number of people getting infected in the country; however, cases are still high and hospitals are under pressure dut to the new variants spreading across the country.
