303 Iranians lost their lives due to coronavirus

Iran reported 11,291 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 2,751,166. As many as 303 deaths were reported across the country; the death toll now stands at 76,936.

Iran (IMNA) - Iranian officials have a bash at containing the outbreak and preventing further spread.

Iran has been witnessing a rise in the number of people contracting the virus over the past couple of weeks as the new Indian variant emerged in the country.

The mounting toll in Iran comes as the country has plans to ease tough restrictions and restart businesses.

Iran’s health officials reported 11291 more Coronavirus cases and 303 more deaths on Sunday, bringing the official number of cases to 2,751,166 and the death toll to 76,936.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 163 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 2.3 million; however, more than 141 million people have recovered.
