Isfahan to share experiences with network of age-friendly communities

"We have exchanged municipal experiences on senior citizens with age-friendly cities to take advantage of Isfahan's sister cities insights over elder urban affairs," the Director General of the Center for Communications and International Affairs of Isfahan Municipality said.

Iran (IMNA) - During the unveiling ceremony of the specialized website for senior citizens, Hojati continued, "After unveiling such system, we will witness a great advance in Isfahan's dynamism; we can also exercise the experiences of seniors."

Emphasizing that communication with the elderly people will enable us to make use of their experiences in urban affairs, he added, "The municipality of Isfahan and the elderly-friendly secretariat have joined forces so that we will witness a great deal of progress in this regard."

Referring to Isfahan's membership in several global networks, Hojati stated, "Isfahan has been recognized as a candidate for turning into a child - friendly city by UNICEF, and also it has joined the educating, learning, age-friendly and creative city networks."

Noting that the exchange of information among cities in different global networks has been carried out in the best manner, he said: "At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, many cities provided information to one another in this regard to curb the virus through sharing the experiences."
