A creative city can encourage creativity among its inhabitants and provide them the required context for implementing their ideas. Such concept has been adopted by urban authorities worldwide, and motivated plenty of creative people to make their cities more "innovative".
Citizens can provide city administrative board with valuable information; Smart citizen can easily bring innovative solutions in various domains such as environment, economy, mobility, and safety as they are considered as the end users in the city.
According to Enyedi, dialogue between decision makers and local inhabitants is a pre-requisite for sustainable urban development.
