Covid 19 takes 74 more lives in Iran

According to Iran's health authorities, 7,931 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed on Sunday, and another 74 Iranians have lost their life of the virus in a single day.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said that 74 more Iranians have died from the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the cumulative number of deaths to 59,483.

7,931 new coronavirus infections were identified over the past 24 hours, of whom 574 have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,574, 012 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 1,344,791 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

Iran has implemented the tough preventive measures to courb the coronavirus transmission and flatten the curve of new infections.

The new respiratory virus has spread across the world, isolated billions of people into quarantine as health workforce struggle to cope.

According to Worldometers, more than 111 million people have tested positive for Covid-19 and more than 2.4 million people have died world-wide.
