Nowruzi continued, "Recently, the number of sister cities in Isfahan has increased. In this regard, cooperation programs with the international private sector have been developed; by way of example, the necessary teamwork was established in the Iran-France Friendship Association.
Noting that the international and country-based projects of the municipality of Isfahan did not stop with the emergence of the Coronavirus, Ghodratollah Norouzi said, " At this crucial time, we took advantage of the existing capacities in the international stage to revive Isfahan's relations with its sister cities."
The mayor of Isfahan continued, "In the context of the pandemic, conferences with mayors of cities around the world convened entirely online; against this background, a correspondence was made with the mayor of Xi'an, China, for healthcare and medical assistance exchanges between the two cities."
Norouzi pointed out, "another notable measure taken by the Municipality of Isfahan in the international stage was to implement the Citizen Diplomat project, which was planned to make communication with Isfahani citizens living abroad to the development of the city."
The mayor of Isfahan had already said that, "In a situation when the challenges of the world's cities have turned global, we definitely need global solutions to overcome the issues; The presence of citizen diplomats at decision-making meetings and taking advantages of citizens involvements can help Isfahan as a world city to contain the challenges."
