Covid-19 takes 98 more lives in Iran

According to Iran's health officials, 6,309 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported on Monday, and another 98 Iranians have died of the virus in a single day.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman, announced that 98 more Iranians have died from the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the cumulative number of confirmed deaths to 57,481.

6,309 new coronavirus infections were identified over the past 24 hours, of whom 681 have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,379,286 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 1,171,070 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

Iran has put serious preventive measures into effect to contain the coronavirus transmission and flatten the curve of new infections.

According to Worldometers, more than 99 million people have tested positive for Covid-19 and more than 2,140,313 million people have lost their lives world-wide.
