Iran (IMNA) - Ghodratollah Norouzi, "during the days when increasing pressure on the distribution network has brought problems in electricity distribution, the importance of increasing productivity and reducing energy consumption especially in large organizations such as municipalities has achieved great attention."
He pointed out that the municipality and other top energy consuming organizations should pay special attention to increasing productivity.
Noting that "for the second consecutive term, the municipality of Isfahan recognized as the top institution in the field of energy consumption management, and won the Energy Management Leadership Award, the mayor of Isfahan said, "This achievement is due to the detailed planning and effective actions to reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency."
Norouzi continued, "The Energy Award that recognizes top performers is granted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Vice Presidential office for Science and Technology and Iran's Industrial Management Institute; these organizations identify the top institution based on defined criteria."
Saying that the municipality of Isfahan also received the highest honour in Green Building Leadership, Norouzi said, "the achievement has been made after trying to use Nano technologies and renewable energies in buildings and improving the regulations in this regard."
The Energy Management Leadership Awards recognize leading organizations for their energy management achievements.
