Covid 19 takes 102 more lives in Iran

According to Iran's health authorities, 5,960 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed on Sunday, and another 102 Iranians have died of the virus in a single day.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said that 102 more Iranians have died from coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the country's cumulative total of deaths to 55,540

5,960 new coronavirus infections were discovered over the past 24 hours, of whom 497 have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,243,434 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 1,013,018 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

Iran's provincial polices have begun to hand out fines for people who flout mandatory restriction rules for travels across the country.

According to Worldometers, more than 85 million people have tested positive for Covid-19 and more than 1.8 million people have died world-wide.
