Iran records over 6,108 new Covid-19 cases

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of over 1,783,861 people and infected 81,761,237 across the world.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, the Iranian health ministry spokeswoman, said on Sunday that 132 more Iranians have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 55,946.

6,108 new coronavirus infections have been identified over the past 24 hours, some 815 of whom have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,212,481 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 81 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at 1,783,861; however, more than 57 million people have recovered.
