Coronavirus kills 121 more Iranians over past 24 hours

Iran’s COVID-19 caseload rose to 1,206,373 with 5,908 infections being reported in a day.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, the Iranian health ministry spokeswoman, said on Wednesday that 121 more Iranians have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 54,814.

5,908 new coronavirus infections has been identified over the past 24 hours, some 798 of whom have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,206,373 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 81 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at 1,773,582; however, more than 57 million people have recovered.
