Coronavirus kills 175 more in Iran over past 24 hours

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of over 1,683,693 people and infected 76,120,962 across the world.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, the Iranian health ministry spokeswoman, said on Saturday that 175 more Iranians have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 53,448.

6,421 new coronavirus infections have been identified over the past 24 hours, some 822 of whom have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 1,152,072 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 76 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at 1,683,693; however, more than 53 million people have recovered.
