7,704 new COVID-19 cases reported

Iran’s COVID-19 caseload rose to 1,123,474 with 7,704 infections being reported in a day.

Iran (IMNA) - Iranian Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Tuesday that the coronavirus death toll reached to 52,674 with 223 new fatalities, the data updated at 2 p.m showed.

The COVID-19 death toll since the emergence in the world is set to pass 1,630,328 according to "worldometers".

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 833,286 in Iran; however, hospital admissions for covid-19 has declinesd to 1,299 over the past 24 hours.

Despite the hopes for a new effective vaccines, Iranian health officials worry about new records of fatalities and infections that may rise in future weeks as the country heads into winter and the ancient celebration of Yalda Night.

Iran has implemented the serious preventive measures to contain the coronavirus transmission and flatten the curve of new infections.

The new respiratory virus has spread across the world, prisoned billions of people into quarantine as health workforce struggle to cope.
