Iran (IMNA) - The spokesperson of Iran's health ministry, Sima Sadat Lari, said that 221 more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the country’s tally of total deaths to 51,949.
Though the number of daily cases has declined during the last week, public health officials concerned about the regions that have high caseloads of the COVID-19. Iran's National Headquarter for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus has imposed set of guidelines to curb the further spread of the disease which came into effect from November 21 and remained in place till last week.
The health ministry has also released measures to ensure compliance to Covid-appropriate behavior in markets and organizations with high number of costumers and users.
The Headquarter has recommended imposing fines for not wearing masks or not following physical distancing, opening markets or traveling between cities during the quarantine.
Non-essential businesses in containment zones shall remain closed till the situation gets better.
