Coronavirus kills 389 more in Iran over past 24 hours

The Coronavirus pandemic caused by the new respiratory virus‌‌‌‌ has claimed the lives of over 1,460,387 people and infected 62,686,326 across the world.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima Sadat Lari, the Iranian health ministry spokeswoman, said on Wednesday that 389 more Iranians have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the country’s total deaths to 47,875.

12,950 new coronavirus infections has been identified over the past 24 hours, some 1,795 of whom have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 948,749 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran.

The all-out-efforts of Iranian officials have focused on taking measures to curb the outbreak and prevent further spread.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 62 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at 1,460,387; however, more than 43 million people have recovered.
