10,339 new COVID-19 cases reported

Iran’s COVID-19 caseload rose to 703, 288 with 10,339 infections being reported in a day.

Iran (IMNA) - Sima sadat Lari, the spokeswoman of Iran's health ministry reported that the coronavirus death toll climbed to 39,202 with 453 new fatalities, the data updated at 2 p.m showed.

The COVID-19 death toll since the emergence in the world is set to pass 1,271,343, according to "worldometers".

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 530,694; however, hospital admissions for covid-19 rises to 3088 over the past 24 hours.

Despite the hopes for a new effective vaccine, Iranian officials worry about new records of fatalities and infections that may continue to rise as the country heads into winter.

Iran has implemented the serious preventive measures to curb the coronavirus transmission and flatten the curve of new infections.

The new respiratory virus has spread across the world, prisoned billions of people into quarantine as health workforce struggle to cope.
