Iran reports 9,236 new COVID-19 cases

Cases of infection with the new Coronavirus is climbing up in Iran; sever restrictions have been put in place by governments to keep the virus at bay across Iran.

Iran (IMNA) - Iranian Health Ministry spokeswoman, Sima Sadat Lari, said that 459 more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the country’s tally of total deaths to 38291.

9236 new coronavirus infections were detected over the past 24 hours, of whom 2712 have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 682486 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 520329 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

The all-out-efforts of Iranian officials have focused on taking measures to curb the outbreak and prevent further spread.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 50,369,940 million and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 1,257,942 million; however, more than 35,616,981 million people have recovered.

Due to the reports on the staggering high death, Iranian authorities have blamed some people for shutting their eyes on health protective measures.

Many public places such as cafes and gyms have been close; however, careless people keep traveling between cities and attending large gatherings. These violations has brought a spike in cases again despite the strict charges on disobediences.
