Latest on Coronavirus; 48,129,129 global cases identified

The coronavirus pandemic caused by the new respiratory virus‌‌‌‌‌‌ has killed over 1,224,506 people and infected 48,129,129 worldwide.

Iran (IMNA) - The spokesperson of the country’s health ministry, Sima Sadat Lari, said that 419more Iranians have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours taking the country’s tally of total deaths to 36,579.

8,452 new coronavirus infections were detected over the past 24 hours, of whom 2,852 have been hospitalized, Sadat Lari said.

There have been nearly 646,164 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far in Iran, 500,400 of the cases cured or discharged from the hospitals.

The all-out-efforts of Iranian officials have focused on taking measures to curb the outbreak and prevent further spread.

According to Worldometers, total cases of COVID-19 worldwide have surpassed 48,129,129 and the global deaths from the virus have also surged at least 1,224,506; however, more than 34,500,140 people have recovered.

Due to the reports on the staggering high death, Iranian authorities have blamed some people for shutting their eyes on health protective measures.

Many public places such as cafes and gyms have been close; however, careless people keep traveling between cities and attending large gatherings. These violations has brought a spike in cases again despite the strict charges on disobediences.
