Unveiling stamp of child-friendly city in Isfahan

The Deputy Mayor of Isfahan for Urban Planning and Architecture said: "The stamp of 'child-friendly city' will be unveiled soon with the cooperation of the General Post Office of the province."

Iran (IMNA) - Seyyed Ahmad Hosseini-nia noted, "According to the memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Isfahan and UNICEF, Isfahan as the first child-friendly city in Iran, began its initiatives seriously in 1997 under the Urban Planning and Architecture Department in line with the predefined instructions of the Ministry of Interior."

He added, "Pursuant to what was included in the course action by the Ministry of Interior, the plan should be prepared by the Municipality of Isfahan and after getting the permission by the Islamic City Council of Isfahan, it should be delivered to the Ministry of Interior for final decision."

The Deputy Mayor of Isfahan for Urban Planning and Architecture continued, "In conformity with the goals and strategies that were identified in 2019- 2020, based on the indicators, the second objective was to increase opportunities for play, entertainment and sports."

Referring to the holding of the Children's Rights Painting Festivals by the Deputy Minister of Culture with the themes of Isfahan and the role of health defenders in promoting children's health, he said, "these festivals held to encourage children in designing the considered stamp and get them acquainted with the related subjects."

Hosseini-nia pointed out, "a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Deputy Mayor of Urban Planning and Architecture and the General Directorate of Post, and the unveiling process for the stamp of 'child-friendly city' will be performed as a multi-sectoral measure in near future. "
