Noting that wearing protective masks in the subway is mandatory, Tahanian said, "Despite the unfavorable dire financial situation of the company, in order to improve the conditions and ensure the well-being of citizens and optimal use of technology, four ultraviolet-C (UVC) lamps and lights to disinfect the spaces from COVID-19 have been installed in different parts of the stations. "
"Removing single tickets to make a one-way journey in cash and eliminating paper ticket sales as well as observing the social distancing rules in front of the ticket counters, waiting platforms and inside the wagons are among the measures being taken to promote contactless procedures, " Tahanian ended.
