Iran's armed forces to combat Coronavirus outbreak

The Iranian Army has initiated a campaign to fight against the Corona virus.

Iran (IMNA) - Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei designated the Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, to set a Medical Center Base to tackle the coronavirus deemed "biological warfare”.

The Brigadier-General Eesa Mirzaee ,commander of the Army in East Azarbaijan, said that the Army has already taken preventive practices by get functioning field hospitals , carrying out proactive health screening at selective ports of entries, disinfecting places of public gathering, sidewalks and streets, and distributing detergents among people.

At the moment, the virus-hit provinces of Gilan and Qom are being ready as pilot; however, such practice has been planned to be nationwide in scope.
