Iran, France solidarity over COVID-19

“The French authorities show their solidarity with the Iranian government and nation; Coronavirus is not the problem confined to the Iranian people, but five other countries are also involved,” said Philippe Thiébaud, French ambassador to Iran.

Iran (IMNA) - Referring to the international aid s provided by Germany, France and the United Kingdom, he continued, “Aid packages that have been urged by Iranian authorities include coronavirus detection kit and healthcare personal protective equipment.”

"France, Germany and the United Kingdom are also committed to send additional aid with the value of nearly five million euros through the World Health Organization and other UN agencies to help Iran combat the coronavirus outbreak.

Addressing patients with coronavirus and medical staff, he said, "health care personnel are struggling with the epidemic and hope to overcome the crisis. We express our solidarity with the Iranian Ministry of Health.”

"We are supposed to respond to Iran's requests; we are also in touch with Iranian doctors. Iran’s Pasteur Institute is affiliated with the Pasteur Institute in France and they hold close cooperation,” the French diplomat noted on sending a medical delegation to Iran to confront the Coronavirus.
