Gisum forest park is an incredible coastal forest located in Talesh, Gilan Province; the site is a wonderful place where the forest and the Caspian Sea meet each other.

Iran (IMNA) – North of Iran is home to many amazing jungles full of wonderful trees: one of these jungles is Gisum forest park which is considered as one of the most visited places in Gilan province. The reason of such naming is that it is situated in a village under the same name. One of the special features of this jungle is the existence of thick and tall forest trees that have risen to the sky on both sides of the road creating an amazing green tunnel.

Gisum forest with the area of about 80 hectares is home to 76 plant species: 21 of them are trees and the rest are herbaceous. The trees of this forest include plum, apple, fig, pomegranate, quince, apricot, and medlar trees. Lush greenery of the trees which reach the seashore adds to the beauty of this forest. Gisum forest park provides a natural museum of plants and flowers for visitors to enjoy.
