Iran, Turkey to strength economic ties

Speaking at a conference organized by the International Interaction Centre of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology , Sorena Sattari  said, "Turkey is the gateway for Iranian companies performing exports. The close relations and numerous meetings of Turkish and Iranian presidents, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Hassan Rouhani, throughout the year indicate high levels of political participation. However, economic relation with Turkey has not reached the desired level and it is away from the object of carrying 30 billion dollars trade volume." 

Iran (IMNA) - During the meeting attended by representatives of about 80 Iranian companies and 200 Turkish companies, he added, "the United States imposed sanctions on Iran have increased the production of indigenous technologies."

Stressing the need to boost economic ties between the two countries, Sattari continued, "Iran and Turkey have excellent political ties. The level of our economic relations must be reached the political level. Joint commissions of Iran and Turkey are the most active ones in the region and even in the world."

"We are pleased that Turkey is protecting its interests and that of its neighboring and Muslim countries. Iran and Turkey are partners in bilateral and multilateral meetings. We witness the will of the two nations and governments in enhancing the relations and cooperation between the two countries. Science and technology are the areas that enemies cannot interfere with them," Iranian Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammad Farazmand stressed.

Emphasizing the importance of holding such a conference Mahdi Qalenoei, director of the International Interaction Centre of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology said, "We have 5,000 science and technology companies in Iran. However, 80 companies in 4 fields of health, Electronics and IT, advanced machinery and materials have participated at the conference."
