Iran (IMNA) - “A slap was delivered last night, but what is important is that the rabble-rousing presence of America in the region should be ended,” Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday in a meeting with thousands of people from Qom Province.
The Leader's remarks, broadcast live on Iran's national television, came hours after IRGC's retaliation against the US assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his trench-mate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran is quite equipped against the global bullying powers.
Gen Soleimani was a man using logic in his actions, he was discreet not in the battlefields but in the area of politics, the Leader said.
Early in the morning, Iran launched more than a dozen missiles at two Iraqi bases that hold US troops in retaliation for the martyrdom of Gen Soleimani.
