Hormozgan to turn into Iran's coastal tourism hub

Noting that tourism industry is one of the fields that can help create jobs, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Ali Asghar Mounesan said, "Unlike other jobs that always require government support, tourism industry is formed from small businesses."

Iran (IMNA) - "The matter of ecotourism, which is Iran's inherent advantage, has been added to the tourism packages and fortunately welcomed by domestic and foreign tourists so far," he said while referring to the all-out efforts to increase the diversity of tourism packages.

"Medical tourism, which is another pillar to attract tourists, holds a strong position in the country" Ali Asghar Mounesan continued.

Pointing out that the target markets for tourism have been identified in Iran, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts added, "Plans have been set out to identify markets, and good actions are also being taken with Oman in the field of medical tourism, which has increased the number of tourists from Oman."

"we have planned to attract one million tourists from China," he said, noting that one hundred and fifty million Chinese tourists have traveled around the world .

Emphasizing that Hormozgan has a lot of potential in ecotourism and coastal tourism, Mounesan added, "Hormozgan can be the country's tourism hub in this regard; Bandar Abbas city, Lark, Hormuz and Qeshm Islands are the unique tourism advantages."
