“Finding Farideh” representing Iran at Oscars 2020

An Iranian documentary co-directed by Azadeh Mousavi and Kourosh Ataei, "Finding Farideh”, has been selected to represent Iran in the upcoming 92nd Academy Awards.

Iran (IMNA) - According to Farabi Cinema Foundation, Secretary and Spokesman of committee which selects Iran’s representative at Oscars in 2020,  Dr. Raed Faridzadeh said at first 10 films out of 70 movies were selected. 

He added eventually the final nominee was selected out to three films including "Qasre Shirin" by Reza Mirkarimi, "Finding Farideh” and "6.5 Per Meter" by Saeed Roustaei.

" Maghzhaye Koochake Zang Zadeh" by Homan Seyyedi, "Bomb, Yek Asheghaneh" by Peyman Moadi, "Sarv Zire Ab" by Mohammad Ali Bashe Ahangar, "Ashghal Haye Doost Dashtani" by Mohsen Amir Yousefi,  Qasre Shirin" by Reza Mirkarimi, "6.5 Per Meter" by Saeed Roustaei, "Sorkhpost" by Nima Javidi as well as "Shabi Ke Mah Kamel Shod" by Narges Abyar are among the top 10 films selected by the committee. 

The committee comprised of Fereshteh Taerpour (producer), Fatemeh Motamed Ariya (actress), Abolhassan Davoodi (director), Touraj Mansouri (cameraman), Rasoul Sadr Ameli (director), Amir Esbati (designer), Morteza Razzaq Karimi (producer), Mehrzad Danesh (critic) and Dr. Raed Faridzadeh, the director of international affairs of Farabi Cinema Foundation.
