Iran, Italy to strengthen economic ties

The potential of commercial and economic exchanges between the two countries of Iran and Italy was put under discussion during a joint meeting of Iranian and Italian business delegation, Iranian ambassador in Italy, directors of joint chamber of commerce and industry leaders in Milan, Italy.  

Iran (IMNA) - Referring to the expansion of reciprocal economic and political relations between Iran and Italy and the support of the two countries' official in favor of economic exchanges, the Iranian ambassador to Italy Hamid Bayat stressed the need for all-out effort support to the Iranian and Italian businessmen as well as expansion in private sectors' interaction.

"The long-term Iranian-Italian trade exchanges and the mutual trust and satisfaction of the two countries' companies are a positive record in developing the bilateral economic relations. According to official statistics, Italy has been Iran's main trading partner among the EU countries during the years 2017 and 2018,"  Bayat said.

The Iranian Ambassador emphasized the need to exchange diversified bundle of products and services between the two countries and attached great importance to the private sector's role in adopting innovative and secure solutions in the current situation with the aim of removing imposed limitation and enhancing the level of trade relations

Iranian delegation composed of 25 economic activists in various fields, including petrochemical, stone and construction materials, industrial equipment, foodstuff and pharmaceuticals have departed to Milan to boost economic exchanges with their Italian counterparts.
